BEAUMONT — The Sam Houston tennis team remained undefeated in Southland Conference action with a 6-1 victory over Lamar at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.
The Bearkats (8-2, 4-0 SLC) swept the doubles point as juniors
Sahaja Yamalapalli and
Roos Gerritsen defeated Bianca Vitale and Alba Perez 6-3 at the No. 1 position. Senior
Constandena Nicolaou and freshman Adrijana Brkic topped Natalia Molina and Elena Rodriguez 7-6 (7-2) at No. 2 doubles.

Petra Kaszas took the No. 3 spot with a 6-2 win against Jayci Wong and Michelle Markovic.
Yamalapalli improved to 9-0 this season at No. 1 singles by defeating Vitale 6-4, 6-3. Montalvo (7-3) won 6-3, 6-3 against Rodriguez at No. 2, while sophomore
Isidora Zivkovic pushed her season record to 7-2 by topping Perez at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Nicolaou defeated Molina 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles to improve to 7-0, and freshman
Sahithi Vutukuru wrapped the match up with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Ana Jolic at No. 5 singles.
