Statement from Director of Athletics Bobby Williams about NCAA Championship protocols that will be in place at Bowers Stadium:
"Hello Bearkat Nation. What an exciting time to be a Bearkat. As we prepare to host Monmouth in the first round of the FCS playoffs, there are a few things I want to remind you about. All playoff games are not home events. These are NCAA Championship events that we are merely providing the venue for.
As a result, we have to abide by all NCAA Championship protocols. Face coverings are required, there are capacity limitations and social distancing will be expected. Failure to do so could jeopardize our ability to host subsequent rounds or in future years and there will be NCAA personnel on site. Please do your part to ensure that we get to play these games in Huntsville.
Also, the NCAA has capped attendance at all playoff sites to 25 percent of the stadium's capacity. For that reason, all ticket sales will remain as an advance purchase option only. There will not be any game day ticket sales at the stadium. We have a great tradition of hosting championship events at Bowers Stadium and we ask for your help and cooperation to make this unique spring football championship another huge success."
