Herbst named WAC Golfer of the Week

DENVER, Colo. - After a runner-up finish at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational, Jennifer Herbst was named the WAC women's golfer of the week.

Herbst played a consistent round of golf on Tuesday, shooting a bogey-free 69. She birded the 6^th and then closed her round with a birdie on No. 18. The second place finish was the second of the season for Herbst.

She played all three rounds at par or better for the tournament and her round of 69 was already her fourth round of the year in the 60s.

Through nine rounds this season, the sophomore from Perth Australia leads the team with a 70.89 scoring average.

This is the second time this season a women's golfer was named the WAC Golfer of the Week after Zulaikah Nasser earned it after her win in the opening tournament of the season.
