AUSTIN — The Sam Houston track and field teams posted some solid marks at the 94^th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays over the weekend at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Senior Clayton Fritsch finished sixth in the men's elite pole vault with a jump of 18 feet, ½ inch. It tied the fourth best height of the day, but Fritsch missed it on his first attempt to place sixth.

Sophomore KeAyla Dove placed fifth in section A of the women's shot put with a mark of 55 feet, 6 ½ inches, while freshman Kevin Grubbs also took fifth in the men's discus throw in section A with a distance of 185 feet, 4 inches.

In the timed finals, sophomore Daviciea McCartney finished first in both the 100-meter hurdles (14.07 seconds) and the 400 hurdles (51.55).

Pole vault university elite 6 # 697 Fritsch, Clayton SR Sam Houston 5.50m 18-00.50, tied for the fourth best height but finished in sixth because he missed his first attempt.

In the women's timed finals, freshman Rajer Gurode was sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72, and Haviland Harris placed sixth in the 400 hurdles with a mark of 1:01.19.
