Series added vs Georgia Southern in 2029, 2030

HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston football has finalized another non-conference series as an FBS member, announcing on Wednesday a home-and-home series with Georgia Southern for the 2029 and 2030 seasons.

The 2-game series will be the first meetings between the two former FCS powerhouses on the gridiron and will have the Kats going to Statesboro first, on September 8, 2029.

The Eagles will then return the game the following year with a September 21, 2030 game at Bowers Stadium.
The Kats are slated to begin play as a Conference USA member in the fall of 2023 and have now have secured home-and-home series with Hawai'I and Colorado State in future years.
