WAC announces 2022 Fall Academic All-WAC recipients

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Western Athletic Conference announced the 2022 Academic All-WAC honorees for fall sports, with a total of 448 student-athletes across six sports recognized.
Sam Houston had 34 student-athletes make the list. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Utah Valley led the way with 54 honorees. Utah Tech was second with 50 honorees and California Baptist was third with 49.
Of the six fall sports, women's soccer had the most student-athletes honored with 120. Volleyball was second with 96, and football was third with 72.
