
Kats earn soccer CUSA academic honors

DALLAS — Sam Houston had two players named to the 2023 Conference USA All-Academic teams on Friday, the league office announced.
Sophomore Tiana Johnson was named to the first team, while junior Dana Hanson was named to the second team.
Johnson is a kinesiology major who currently carries a 4.00 grade point average. The forward from Sacramento, California has scored two goals for the Bearkats in her first season after transferring from Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Hanson also boasts a 4.00 grade point average as a marketing major. A three-year starter, the midfielder from New Braunfels has two assists this season.
