HUNTSVILLE -- Sam Houston returns home to host Schreiner on Friday looking to get back in the win column 

Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at Johnson Coliseum with the game set to be aired on ESPN+. 

 This will be the first all-time meeting between the Bearkats and the Mountaineers. Schreiner head coach Stacy Stephens graduated with her master's from Sam Houston in 2019. This will be her third season with the Mountaineers women's basketball team.  

 The Bearkats are coming off of a 106-65 loss at Houston on Tuesday. Sydnee Kemp led the Kats in scoring, posting her first 20-point game of the season and the fourth of her career. Diana Rosenthal contributed 14 points and five rebounds off the bench and Raanee Smith finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
