
Bearkats drop Tulane 3-1

NEW ORLEANS — Sam Houston improved to 2-0 at the Green Wave Invitational by knocking off host Tulane 3-1 on Saturday.
The Bearkats (4-2) once again bounced back from an opening set loss to win the next three 25-22, 25-20 and 27-25. Sam Houston lost the first set to Alabama A&M on Friday before rallying to win that match 3-1 as well.
Alyssa Fielder had a monster game for the Kats with a team-high 17 kills. Payton Woods added 12 kills and McKenzie Morvant finished with 11.
Avery Fowler had 43 assists and 16 digs for Sam Houston. Hannah Baker had a game-high 30 digs.
