LYNCHBURG, Va. — Sam Houston could not overcome a pair of goals in the first half in a 6-0 loss at Liberty on Sunday afternoon.
The Bearkats fell to 3-5-2 on the season and 1-2 in Conference USA action following the setback.
Liberty got on the board in the first four minutes of the match then scored again 24 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The quick goals to start the second period ended any chance of a comeback for Sam Houston.

Jasmine Marquez all had shots on goal for the Kats who attempted only seven shots in the match.
Sam Houston returns to action Sunday when it hosts Louisiana Tech at Pritchett Field at 1 p.m.
