Bearkats ink six soccer recruits

HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston continues to improve, and talented student-athletes want to be a part of it.

The Bearkats signed six players as a part of their 2024 signing class on Wednesday after finishing fourth in Conference USA this past season. Head Coach Sonia Curvelo believes this group can push the Kats over the top.

"I look forward to adding this strong class to our program. Each of them will continue to strengthen our program on the field toward helping our program win a CUSA Championship," Curvelo said. "We had tremendous growth in our level over the last year, and I know this class will be ready to continue the upward trend we are building on and off the field. Each of the signees are strongly committed to soccer and academics and that is important mindset to have when selecting the right student-athlete to play for Sam Houston Soccer.

"I know each of them will be prepared and eager to start like we are in 2025 season. I know it will be a special year with the experience we have with the large returners that have tremendous experience playing in CUSA."
