MIAMI, Fl.– The Sam Houston volleyball team fell to FIU 3-0 on Friday at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.Â
The Bearkats (13-15, 8-9 CUSA) dropped the match in straight sets, 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.Â
Sam Houston kept it close in the opening set but came up short in the 25-23 loss. FIU took control in the second set with a dominant 25-15 victory. Despite a late push by the Bearkats in the third, they were unable to force a fourth set.Â
Alyssa Fielder led the team with seven kills, while McKenzie Morvant added five. Avery Fowler led the team with 18 assists.Â
Sam Houston will close out the regular season on Saturday against FIU at noon. The match will stream on ESPN+.Â
