HUNTSVILLE – The Ron Randleman Strength Center received an equipment upgrade over summer, fully replacing its allotment of dumbbells to a fresh and modern set to aid Sam Houston student-athletes in strength and conditioning.
The set was generously funded by a contribution from the Letterwinners Association at a cost nearly totaling $40,000. The equipment will benefit all Bearkat sports and be a highlight of the 11,000-square foot facility which opened in 2006 and is named for Ron Randleman who served as the SHSU head football coach for 23 years and Director of Athletics from 1984 to 1990.
"The SHSU Letterwinner's Association is immensely proud to contribute to the enhancement of our athletic program by purchasing new dumbbells," Letterwinner's Association President Keith Heinrich said. "This investment will not only elevate the training standards but also provide every student athlete, across all sports, with the tools to reach their full potential and achieve excellence."
