Kats host LA Tech after midweek break

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston women's basketball team will return home after a midweek break to host LA Tech at Johnson Coliseum on Saturday. Â
The Bearkats look to grab their first win against the Lady Techsters in the program's history. The previous matchup ended in a 71-57 loss on March 6, 2024. Â
Sam Houston is coming off losses at WKU and Middle Tennessee. The Kats were able to get their highest free throw percentage of the season at 85 percentage and hold Middle Tennessee's 6-foot-7 point guard to four points on the road. Â
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and will air on ESPN+ with Matt Pedersen and Austyn Iven on the call. The game can also be followed via StatBroadcast.Â
