Kats close out Day 1 of Dale McNamara Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Sam Houston women's golf team will go into the final day of the Dale McNamara Invitational tied for 13th at 41 over par after 36 holes of play at the Cedar Ridge Country Club.
The Bearkats shot +14 in round one and +27 to cap off the day. Francesca Sumcad and Amelia Guo leads the Kats and is tied for 21st. Sumcad shot consistently with matching round of 73. Guo had three birdies to shoot 72 in the first round and later turned in 74.
Bomyeong Lee had two birdies in the first round to fire off 77-79. Gracie Hienle shot a birdie on the second hole in both rounds to shoot 76-85 on her scorecard. Shanna Sandoval shot two birdies in the first round and finished the day shooting 81-87. Victoria Renzi competed as an individual firing 83-79.
