Volleyball back home against FIU

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston volleyball team travels back home looking for its first conference win against FIU at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.

Sam Houston (8-9) and the Panthers (8-8) will face off at 6 p.m. on Friday night and again on Saturday at 1 p.m. Each match can be watched on ESPN+.

Freshman Chloe Monson leads the team in kills at 269 with Lauren Malone trailing with 200. Shaelin White defends the court with 313 digs so far this season. Avery Fowler continues to lead Kats with 515 assists and 21 service aces.

The Kats are 2-5 all-time against the Panthers, first playing them in 1985. Since joining CUSA, the Bearkats have yet to win against FIU in conference play with a current record of 0-4.
