TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama Crimson Tide opened the game on a 14-2 run and never looked back in a 73-36 win over Sam Houston on Tuesday night at Coleman Coliseum.Â
Deborah Ogayemi turned in her best offensive game of the season with 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting, but she was the only Bearkat (5-3) in double figures as SHSU hit just 28 percent from the floor and attempted just four foul shots while being held without a made 3-point basket for the first time this year. Â
The Tide (12-0), meanwhile, overcame 25 turnovers by connecting on 10 3-pointers of their own and 17-for-23 from the charity stripe to remain undefeated. Ta'Mia Scott had four of Bama's triples to account for her team-high 12 points, pacing four players in double figures. Â
She added eight rebounds to her line, helping the Tide dominate the glass by a 59-20 margin and 24-2 edge in second-chance points. Â
Whitney Dunn chipped in nine points for Sam Houston, while Aysia Ward-Strong had five points and a team-high six rebounds. Â
