
Kats sign 6-8 forward from TCU

HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston men's basketball coach Chris Mudge is pleased to announce the addition of transfer Isaiah Manning, who recently signed to play for the Bearkats in the 2025-26 season.
Manning, a 6-8 forward from Mansfield, joins Sam Houston after spending the past two seasons at TCU. Last season, he played in 24 games as a redshirt freshman for the Horned Frogs and averaged 2.0 points in 7.4 minutes per game.
Manning had season-highs of 10 points and four rebounds against Florida A&M on Nov. 4. He also made 43 of 57 attempts from 3-point range.
As a senior at Mansfield Legacy High School, Manning was ranked 87th nationally by 247 Sports after averaging 14.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game before suffering an ankle injury. He earned all-district and all-region honors as a junior when he averaged 14.8 points and 9.7 rebounds in 2021-22.
