HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston women's tennis team got back on the winning track on Saturday morning, rolling past Missouri State, 7-0, at the Beckner Tennis Center.

The Bearkats (8-11) quickly snagged the doubles point and then took all six singles courts, dropping only one set in singles play to rebound from a pair of losses last week.

Aaliyah Hohmann and Ella Fitcher, along with the pair of Christine Jevicky and Anamaria Kurtiskashvili had no problem taking care of business in doubles play, winning 6-3 and 6-2 at the Nos. 2 and 3 courts to get the Kats in front 1-0.

Fitcher was then the first to finish in singles play, cruising past Elsie Jackson in straight sets on the No. 5 court. Nayuma Subba followed with a win at No. 1 before Isabella Garza's win at No. 6 provided the match-clinching point.

Jevicky and Sara Sadadinovic each registered wins and Anamaria Kurtiskashvili closed out the sweep, rebounding from dropping the first set on the No. 2 court to take the point in a third-set super tiebreaker.

Sam Houston will close the regular season next week at home vs a pair of CUSA opponents in NM State and Kennesaw State. The Kats' match vs NM State is scheduled for 1:00 p.m, followed by a 11:00 a.m. first serve on Saturday vs the Owls.
