BSN remains flagship for broadcast audio

Once again this season, more than 100 games and events will be broadcast by Bearkat Sports Network, including every football game and select men's and women's basketball, baseball, volleyball and softball games. This season marks the fourth straight year BSN will be the flagship audio home of Sam Houston athletics.Â
Broadcasts will also return to 90.5 FM, the campus radio station. For the second straight year, KSHU will be the over-the-air home of select Sam Houston games this season including all home and road football games.
For the first time in four years, there will be a change in the broadcast booth with Director of Broadcasting Jason Barfield taking over radio play-by-play duties for all sports. Barfield has been calling Sam Houston games on radio, streaming and ESPN+ for more than 20 years, including hosting the football pregame kickoff show in 2025. He's joined in the football booth by former Sam Houston quarterback Brian Adams who begins his 13th year on the Bearkat football broadcasts.
All Sam Houston football games can be heard online on GoBearkats.com. Live audio is also available in the Bearkat Sports app on Apple and the Google Play store. Additionally, it can be found on the BSN+ app on AppleTV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.Â
Also back this season through the department's partnership with Van Wagner, select Bearkat Sports Network broadcasts will be available on SiriusXM satellite radio. BSN broadcasts on SiriusXM will be announced on a week-to-week basis and will be noted on the football schedule page as well as the master schedule on at www.siriusxm.com/sports/college-football.
