Hurrion named CUSA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS – Sam Houston's Isabelle Hurrion was named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week after claiming the individual title at the Red Raider Invitational, the league announced Wednesday.
Hurrion shot 69-71-70 for a 6-under 210 at The Rawls Course in Lubbock, winning her first collegiate tournament by four strokes over BYU's Kate Walker. She was one of only two players in the 68-player field to finish under par and the only one to break par in all three rounds.
Hurrion made 10 birdies, including four in both the opening and final rounds, as the Bearkats finished fifth in the 12-team field. She is the first Sam Houston women's golfer to win an individual tournament since Grace Jin won the Badger Invitational and Bearkat Invitational in September 2024.
The Kats return to action Oct. 5 at the PD Intercollegiate in Wichita, Kan.
