Bearkats fall in four to SFA

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston Volleyball team dropped the final three sets to the Ladyjacks in Tuesday night's midweek matchup at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum. Â
Sam Houston was led offensively by Chloe Monson, who recorded a team-high 13 kills while adding 10 digs for a double-double. Bella Wood also posted a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs, while Annika Brooks added 11 kills.Â
Brenlin Garlitz directed the Bearkat offense with 21 assists and added 13 digs to record the third Sam Houston double-double of the night. Shaelin White contributed seven assists and a team-high 14 digs.Â
The Bearkats opened the match with a 25-16 victory before SFA responded with three straight set wins, taking both the second and third 25-19, finalizing in the fourth 25-23.Â
The Bearkats hit the road for the next three weeks. The Kats are set to participate in the Tarleton State Invitational Tournament next weekend at the EECU Center in Stephenville.Â
First serve is set for Thursday, September 10th at 11 a.m. against Tarleton and can be streamed on ESPN+.
