Summary

Biography

Sam Houston States Bowling coach Brad Hagen has added a second transfer to the 2017-18 squad with the addition of Amber MacLeod from Delaware State University.

The Brick New Jersey native has excelled on and off the lanes as she's earned MEAC Third Team and Academic Honors in the 2016 season, and will be transferring in with a 3.4 GPA as a junior.  MacLeod will continue her studies with in the Kinesiology Department and most importantly graduate on time.

"It was important to add some experience and depth to an already talented roster given how young we are,” Hagen said. “With her already having a few years of NCAA collegiate experience under her belt it'll help to speed up her development and fit her in to our system."

MacLeod’s best event of the 2016-2017 campaign came in at the Kutztown Bob Whitman Memorial which included four games of 200 or better, where she averaged an impressive 213.80 and made the All Tournament Team. Over the last two seasons, consistency has been a huge attribute to her success averaging 194.39 as a sophomore and 198.64 as a junior. She has averaged 193 or higher for 7 of the last 13 events she's participated in.
