Averaged 9.1 points, 2.2 assists, 2.0 rebounds and recorded 58 steals in two seasons at East Mississippi Community College for head coach Billy Begley ... the Lions went 35-17 overall and 19-5 in MACJC North Division regular-season play and claimed the school's first state championship in men's basketball since the 1930s during his time on the team ... as a sophomore this past season, Powers earned 2019-20 All-MACJC/North Division second-team honors as the Lions' second-leading scorer at 13.2 points per game in addition to averaging a team-high 3.2 assists along with 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest ... led the team with 39 made 3-pointers and was almost automatic at the free throw line, shooting a team-high 86 percent
