Simeon Burton is beginning his first season with the Bearkat Women's Basketball staff after spending two seasons at LSU Eunice.
While at LSU-E, Burton helped the Bengals capture a fourth consecutive LCCAC regular season championship as well as earn a berth in the Region 23 Tournament semifinals for the second straight season.
In addition to his duties with the Bengals, Burton was on the staff at Pine Prairie High School. There, he helped lead the Panthers to the 2021 Class 3A regional round, while also tutoring three all-conference players, including the league's player of the year, Tahjea Smith.

In his playing career, Burton was a standout performer at C.E. King High School, leading his team to the Texas state semifinals in 2014-15. He would go on to play a season at Concordia University before transferring to Sam Houston to continue his education and begin his coaching career.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston in interdisciplinary studies with a minor in early childhood education.
