Such as other Bearkats before her, Chewens has a very strong sense of mission as well as academic discipline. Graduating from Burkburnett High High School, she was an AP Scholar Athlete as well as a Top 10 graduate in her class. Chewens' greatest success on the the USBC Collegiate side came last year in 2023 when she was the first female for Stony Brook University to qualify for the USBC Nationals through the Dayton Ohio Sectional Qualifier.
She was the last spot in to advance out of the sectional, averaging 201.67 and punched her ticket to Nationals. At the USBC ISC Nationals hosted by South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Chewens went on to qualify 13th by averaging 202.50 entering match play. Additionally, she has a 300 game to her name as well as held as high as a 220 average during her career.
