Adrian Ray is one of only two Sam Houston State track and field
athletes who have earned NCAA Division I honors. Ray, who holds Sam
Houston State school records for both the 110m hurdles (13.44) and the
400m hurdles (50.85) outdoors and the 60m hurdles (7.85), finished 10th
in the NCAA 110 hurdles in 2003. Ray earned All-Southland Conference
honors 10 times, winning the 110m hurdles in both 2003 and 2005, the
400m hurdles in 2005, and the indoor 60m hurdles in 2004. He also ran
on three Southland Conference championship relays.
