Kingsville - Four pass interceptions by the Javelina defense plagued the Bearkats as Sam Houston fell 16-10 at Parents Weekend. Glen Jones returned an interception 61 yards for a touchdown to put Texas A&I up 16-0 at intermission. Redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Buss led the Kats to 10 fourth quarter points and appeared ready to put seven more on the scoreboard. Buss had hit freshman Jonnathan Cooper for a 51-yard pass to the A&I 13-yard line with just over five minutes to play. But Joseph Turner made an interception in the end zone to insure victory. Buss completed 12 of 30 passes for 174 yards including a 13 yard touchdown to Matt Dominguez. Chad Scott led the Bearkat defense with nine tackles including one for a loss.
