COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M hit an impressive .354 with 52 kills and only 12 errors in 113 attempts to give the Aggies a 30-15 30-17 30-17 non-conference volleyball victory over Sam Houston State Tuesday night.
The Bearkats were led by Cynthia Yarotsky with nine kills and Katie Phillips with six. Sam Houston posted 25 kills and 21 errors in 116 attempts for an .034 team hitting percentage.
Defensively, the Aggies posted eight blocks led by Daria Donelson with three. Mary Batis and Kelly Stanton had 15 and 11 kills for A&M, respectively.
Texas A&M raised its season mark to 15-6 with the victory. Sam Houston State fell to 9-11.
The Bearkats take to the road in Southland Conference action this weekend, playing at Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls State
