Three Kat soccer players named All-SLC

FRISCO, Texas ? Raquel Bueno, Tofi Chavez, and Luana Miessa all were named as honorable mention selections for Sam Houston State on the 2007 All-Southland Conference women's soccer team.
Chavez, a senior midfielder from Alief Hastings, earns All-SLC honors for the third time. She was an honorable mention choice in 2005 and a second team selection in 2006. Chavez assisted on three goals during the 2007 season.
Bueno, a junior forward from Sao Paulo, Brazil, earns all-league honors for the second time in her career. She was also an honorable mention selection last year. Bueno scored six goals for the Bearkats in 2007.
Miessa is a freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who scored four goals and assisted on five others during the year.
The Bearkats earned their second Southland Conference post-season tournament bid in the five-year history of the program with a 4-5 league mark this season. Sam Houston won four of its final six matches to earn the number six seed at the tournament.
