LAKE CHARLES, LA -- Anna Ferguson totaled 15 kills to lead Sam Houston State as the Bearkats fell in four sets to McNeese State Saturday afternoon in a Southland Conference volleyball match.
The Cowgirls won 25-17 23-25 25-21 25-21 to up their season record to 8-13. Sam Houston stands 9-16 for the season. Both teams own 4-5 Southland Conference marks.
Carli Kolbe added 11 kills for Sam Houston State. The Bearkats totaled 46 kills as a team. Sarah Hazlewood was credited with six kills and Haley Thomas had five. Hazlewood led the Bearkat front line with six blocks.
Allyson Jones led the Cowgirls with 15 kills as McNeese totaled 49 kills.
The match was tied nine times during the four sets.
