Highlight show to air on Fox College Sports

The weekly show, hosted by Jason Barfield, will be aired Friday at 4:30 p.m. on Fox College Sports Central. The show features highlights from the previous week's game with a breakdown from SHSU head coach Todd Whiten. Also each week a different player will be featured on the show.
This week Whitten will discuss how the team handled the bye last weekend and will look ahead to Saturday's Southland Conference opener against
This weekend's game against the Bears will also be televised by Fox College Sports Atlantic, with kickoff schedule for 6 p.m. The game is the first of three for the Bearkats as part of the Southland Conference Television Network broadcast package.
The Southland Network presently has the following affiliates: KWCE in Alexandria, La.; WBTR in Baton Rouge, La.; KFDM/Time Warner Cable in Beaumont, Texas; KTBU (The Tube Channel 55) in Houston; KVHP in Lake Charles, La.; KKYK in Little Rock, Ark.; WVUE 8.2 in New Orleans; Texas State Cable Ch. 17 in San Marcos, TX; KPXJ in Shreveport, La.; MYTX in Tyler, Texas; and select Time Warner Cable systems in Texas (including Austin and Waco).
Broadcast veteran Doug Anderson will handle play-by-play duties and LaDarrin McClane will be the color analyst. Dave Knobler, the host of “Inside the Southland Conference,” also serves as the sideline reporter during live game telecasts.
