Todd Sebek named All-America

Sam Houston State outfielder Todd Sebek has been named as a third team selection on the 2008 Collegiate Baseball Magazine All-America squad.
Sebek becomes the fourth Bearkat to earn All-America honors since Sam Houston State moved up to the NCAA Division I level.
The senior from Kerrville hit .356 this year with 98 hits, 25 doubles, three triples, five home runs, and 41 RBIs. He started the 2008 season with a 20-game hitting streak and posted an 18-game hitting streak in the last month of the regular season.
Previous Bearkat All-America selections at the NCAA Division I level include Kelly Eddlemon in 1999 and Luke Prihoda and Bobby Verbick in 2007.
Sebek helped lead Sam Houston to a 37-23 record and a school and Southland Conference record team batting average of .337. Sam Houston State won the Southland Conference post-season tournament for the second year in a row. The Bearkats take on Rice in the first round of the NCAA Regional in Houston Friday night.
