
Eastern Washington playoff win voted top NCAA game

The fans have spoken and the outcome is not a huge surprise. After a month of voting on Gobearkats.com,
Nearly 200 ballots were cast during voting leading up to the start of the 2008 season. The 35-34 win, which put the Bearkats into the semifinals for the first time in school history, was voted as the best game on 156 of 195 ballots cast. It also received mention on all but five of the ballots cast by the fans.
While the voting for No. 1 was clear-cut, the second-place game came down to just a few points. On the strength of more top rankings, the Bearkats victory over No. 1 Montana in 2004 edged out the 2001 playoff win over

All 29 games on the ballot received votes with 11 different games receiving at least one first-place vote. Fans also had the chance to write in games they thought should have been on the ballot and two games in particular were mentioned by several people. Some fans felt the Kats 1987 loss to future Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Andre Ware and the Houston Cougars in the Astrodome as well as last year's last-second loss to
