TyMagic Robinson wins in sprints

HOUSTON ? TyMagic Robinson won the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.78 sections to highlight action for the Sam Houston State men's track and field team at the University of Houston Invitational Friday and Saturday.
"TyMagic ran an outstanding race and is doing very well for a young man who has not competed in track and field since high school" SHSU head coach Curtis Collier said. "He definitely is going to be a spark for us in the sprints this spring."
Lane Dennis and Darryl Haayes placed second and third, respectively, in the 400 meter dash with times of 49.29 and 49.39.
Dustin Joubert was third in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:46.32.
A. J. Edwards finished third in the triple jump (47' 10.5”) and won the men's “B” long jump ( 23-02.50).
