Bearkat Vision to broadcast 26 games this spring

With softball underway and baseball tossing out the first pitch this weekend, the Sam Houston State athletic department is announcing that at least 26 Bearkat baseball and softball games will be broadcast this spring.
The first softball games to be broadcast will be Tuesday, Feb. 24 when the Kats welcome defending SLC champions Stephen F. Austin to the Bearkat softball complex for a double header beginning at 3 p.m. Four home softball conference double headers will be broadcast live on Bearkat Vision as well as the March 31 double header against Houston.
Also, a new addition to the broadcast schedule this year will be airing every game of the SHSU baseball classic. Nebraska, Missouri State and St. Mary's make up a great field and all eight games over the three-day tournament will be carried live. Other baseball games that highlight the schedule this season for baseball are home dates against Rice, Utah and Baylor.
Bearkat Vision is just $7.95 a month which comes out to less than a dollar per game. Fans can sign up for Bearkat Vision on the Live Events page. Also, every game that is broadcast on Bearkat Vision will be available for purchase on DVD in the multimedia store after the season.
The schedule is tentative, and more games could be added. Also, through a partnership with JumpTV, there is a chance other road games could be broadcast as well and those will be added to the Live Events page.
