HUNTSVILLE -- Irina Sotnikova and Peta Taylor won their singles matches at number one and three and paired to blank their opponents in the number one doubles pro set to lead Sam Houston State to a 6-1 non-conference women's tennis dual match victory over Texas-Pan American Saturday afternoon at the McAdams Tennis Center.
The victory upped Sam Houston's season record to 7-4. The Bearkats return to Southland Conference action next Saturday against Texas-Arlington.
Giorgia Pozzan, Patty Manzur and Stasa Vujosevic won at number two, four and six singles. Sotnikova, Pozzan, Taylor and Manzur all won in straight sets.
