Zak voted Southland soccer offensive honor

Zak helped lead Sam Houston to victories over McNeese State and Lamar, scoring goals in each match. Her penalty kick goal in the 19th minute of the victory over the Cardinals proved to be the match-winning score.
The two goals this week were Zak's third and fourth scores of the 2010 season. Last year, the Aledo High School product was the team's leading scorer with nine goals.
Zak's 13 career goals in just a little more than a season and a half already rank her No. 6 in all-time goal-scoring at Sam Houston State.
The Bearkats, now 3-1 in Southland Conference action, face their final two road regular season matches this week.
Sam Houston travels to Southeastern Louisiana Friday then faces Nicholls Sunday afternoon.
Next home action from the Bearkats is Friday, October 22, when Sam Houston plays host to Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. at Pritchett Field.
