Bearkats sign one of top junior bowlers

Hagen has notched another victory on Wednesday with the signing of Elise Bolton, one of the top junior bowlers in the country. Bolton, of Merritt Island, Fla., is a current member of Junior Team USA.
"I am extremely proud that Elise has chosen Sam Houston," Hagen said. "Her experiences, competitive background and all around impeccable determination to succeed will be an excellent addition to what already is an elite roster. Elise will be a great future and immediate asset to this team and we look forward to welcoming her in to the Bearkat family with open arms".
Bolton has represented Jr. Team USA on three occasions at the Tournament of Americas where she has won an impressive total of 10 gold's, four silver, and two bronze medals including two-time All Events Champion.
Other notable accomplishments include a 3rd place finish at the North Pointe Insurance youth tournament which is one of the most elite high school tournaments in the world as a junior, a two-time Kegel Elite Team Member, and a three-time Dexter Squad Leader at the 2009 Teen Masters.
Bolton is planning on majoring in Mass Communications and has a 3.9 high school GPA.
