Huntsville - Freshman Nadia Dubyanskaya provided Sam Houston State its only point, winning the number four singles, as Lamar downed the Kats 6-1 in a Southland Conference women's tennis match Saturday.

Dubyanskaya defeated Natlia Mayagotia 6-2 6-4. She also paired with Tatyana Postnikova for a 8-7 win in the number two doubles pro set, but Lamar took the doubles point, winning the number one doubles 8-2 and the number three by default.

Sam Houston State dropped to 6-10 for the season and 5-4 in Southland Conference play. The Bearkats had to default the number six singles as well, playing with only five players due to an injury.
