"I am honored to be able to start my collegiate coaching career at an institution with as much promise as Sam Houston State. I want to thank Coach Gray and Coach Lind for this opportunity, and I look forward to helping the program in every way possible," Andrews said.
Andrews will be working toward a Master of Arts in Exercise Science while at Sam Houston State.
Coach Gray on Andrews: "Throughout our search of high quality candidates that applied for our open Graduate Assistant position, Ellen stood out to us as someone who is eager to learn, and will be able to add a new dimension to our program from a high level of technical training, academic support and leadership, as well as being a mentor to our young student athletes. She is a very bright young lady, who the team will immediately respect due to her composure and experience. She adds a lot to our coaching staff, and compliments myself and Assistant Coach Joe Lind very well. We are excited to have her join us in July, and what she'll bring to us."
