Track finalizes signing class

Sam Houston State track and field coach Dave Self has finalized the 2010 sighing class with the addition of 24 athletes to this year's squad.
The Bearkats will bring in 16 men and eight women, and Self is happy with this year's group.
"I am very excited with the class we have brought in," Self said. "This is one of the best collection of athletes we have signed at one time. I think they have the chance to be very good for us for a long time."
Of the 24 new additions, eight medaled at the state meet. Louis Hedgeman from Daingerfield, Matthew Viverette from Barbers Hill and Kristian Austin from Westbury were double medalists. Hedgeman, Desmond Jones (Conroe), Marquise Sneed (Conroe) and Austin were all state champions.
