The Bearkat women play host to South Alabama at 2 p.m. while the men face off with Northern Arizona at 7 p.m.
The men's contest pits two teams who are unbeaten at home but have struggled on the road against quality opponents.
Northern Arizona stands 3-7 for the year with road losses to Louisiana-Lafayette, San Francisco, North Dakota State, Pepperdine, BYU, Arizona and Loyola-Marymount. NAU is led by James Douglas who is averaging 12.4 points per game.
Sam Houston also is 3-7 with the three victories coming in Huntsville and the losses away from home against Notre Dame, Mercer, San Diego State, Niagara, Texas, Texas A&M and North Texas.
The Bearkat men have been battling injuries and have played their last several games with only six scholarship players suiting up. Transfer Konner Tucker leads the Kats with 11.3 points per game and returning letterman Marcus James is contributing 9.0 points per contest.
The Sam Houston women bring a 3-4 record to Johnson after a strong performance at TCU Sunday afternoon in a 60-49 loss. The Bearkats led the Horned Frogs for 24 minutes before TCU rallied down the stretch to earn the win.
Three Kats are averaging in double figures with Sequeena Thomas posting 16.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, Britni Martin scoring 15.9 points and Angela Beagle adding 10.7 points per game.
South Alabama sports a 7-4 record. Mansa El leads USA with 12.0 points per game.
