Three cities - three meets

Sam Houston men's and women's track and field squads competed in three meets in three different cities this weekend.
The Bearkats took part in events in San Angelo, El Paso and Natchitoches, La.
Highlights at UTEP included a runnerup finish by Henry Jordan in the long jump, third places by the 4x400 men's relay and A J. Edwards in the triple jump and fourth places by the men's 4x100 and women's 4x100 relays.
Morgan Davis placed third in the heptahlon and Josh Sigmon was the runner-up in the decathlon at San Angleo. In the pole vault, Ryan Oakes won the men's competition with a mark of 16' 8", the fifth best vault in Sam Houston's men's track history
Shelbie Zotyka was third in the women's pole vault with a mark of 11' 6.5", the four best mark for the Bearkat women ever.
