
Bowling No. 4 in new NTCA Media Poll

The poll is conducted by the university sports information departments who are contributing universities of the NTCA in partnership with additional industry media.
Valparaiso (30-8) collected 10 first place media votes, competed in three events, resulting in two championships and a third place finish. The Crusaders bested the eight-team field at the Greater Ozark Invitational in Springfield, Mo., and the nine-team field at the Vanderbilt Crusader Classic in Merrillville, IL..
Second-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson (45-12, 0.790), who earned four first place votes, participated in five events this season. FDU won the 12-team Wildcat Invitational in Ormond Beach, Fla., and the 18-team New Jersey Jamboree in Elmwood Park, NJ, finished second at the UMES Hawk Classic and were third at the 11-team VUU Invitational in Midlothian, VA.
The third-ranked Sacred Heart University (37-9, 0.804) played in four events during the first half of play. The Pioneers are in first place in the Northeast Conference, finished as runner-up at the VUU Invitational, fourth at the NJ Jamboree and sixth place at the UMES Hawk Classic.
Sam Houston State (40-13) earned the fourth ranked spot by winning the title at the 14-team SHSU Track Kat Klash. The Kats placed third at the UCM Greater Ozark Invitational and the FDU NJ Jamboree. This marks only the second season ever of NCAA competition for the Bearkats.
University of Central Missouri (26-12) swept through the VUU Invitational to claim the team title.
