"The Decision" DVD now available for pickup

The new DVD features a special 33-minute film detailing the Bearkats' 14-0 march to an undisputed Southland Conference championship, a No. 1 national ranking and three home NCAA playoff wins at Bowers Stadium to earn a berth in the national title game in Frisco.
This year's Bearkat football season ticket packages include "The Decision" documentary DVD as a special feature. Season ticket holders may now pick up their DVDs by visiting SHSU Athletic Ticket Office at the Ron Mafrige Field House.
Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
DVDs also may be picked up by season ticket holders at the Homecoming game versus McNeese State Saturday at 7 p.m. Distribution will begin at the Bowers Stadium box office located on the West side of the stadium. Distribution will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The ticket office will remain open for 30 minutes following Saturday night's game for DVD pickup. Season ticket holders also may pick up their DVD at the SHSU vs. Southeastern Louisiana football game at Bowers on Nov. 3
"The Decision" documentary film was produced by Phil Connor of Blackwater Media and written by Jason Barfield, Phil Connor and David Paitson. The film not only features outstanding video of the big plays from the 2011 championship season but a close-up look at how last year's overall athletic success has changed the game at the university and exclusive interviews with Sam Houston administrators, coaches and players.
"The Decision" also may be viewed on several area television and cable outlets. More than 100 airings of the documentary are scheduled.
Comcast SportsNet Houston, KBTX Channel 3 TV, Bryan/College Station CW, Suddenlink Channel 98 in Walker County, Suddenlink Video on Demand (SHSU tab), KIVY-TV in Trinity and Houston countries and SHSU Channel 7 all are scheduled to run the film. Please check local listings for time and date.
