Soccer hosts McNeese Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Kats stand 3-2-1 in league action, one half game behind Oral Roberts in the standings. The Cowgirls, who kept their post-season tournament hopes alive with a 2-1 victory Friday night at Natchitoches, stand 3-4. McNeese will host the Southland tournament in two weeks.
Sunday also is "Senior Day" at Pritchett Field as seven Bearkats will play their final home game. Six of the seven seniors are four-year letter winners.
Three All-Southland Conference players head the list of seniors. Kirby Zak stands as SHSU's third all-time leading goal scorer. Defenders Hailey Shelpuk and Kayla Anderson both were all-league selections last year.
Other four year veterans seeing their final action at home are defender Amanda Biega, midfielders Paige Rodriguez and Hillary Ackerman and goalkeeper Michelle McCullough.
The seven players have accounted for more than 400 starts on the soccer pitch for the Bearkats during the past four years.
Following the McNeese State game, the Bearkats will wrap up the 2012 schedule with a match at Lamar in Beaumont next weekend.
The top six regular season finishers qualify for the conference tournament in Lake Charles in two weeks. Sam Houston reached the tournament finals last year.
