
Bearkats Extend Streak to Five

Huntsville - Deveny Wells-Gibson totaled 20 kills and Kendall Cleveland added 17 to lead Sam Houston to a four-set victory over Northwestern State Saturday.
The Bearkats defeated the Demons 25-19 25-19 17-25 25-17 in one hour and 46 minutes, to up their conference record to 6-2. The Kats winning streak is at five games. Sam Houston is now 10-9 for the season.
The Bearkats had 13 total blocks to Northwestern State's seven. Haley Neisler led the way with five blocks and Tayler Gray and Kim Black each had four.
Sam Houston will host Houston Baptist in non-conference action Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Kats then hit the road for conference matches at McNeese State Thursday and Lamar Saturday.
