Bearkat Men Host Huston-Tillotson Wednesday

men's basketball will play Huston-Tillotson Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bernard G. Johnson
Coliseum.
The Bearkats, winners of their last two games, are 5-5 on the season. The two consecutive wins came on the road at Houston Baptist, 69-57, and South Alabama, 73-57.
Saturday at
South Alabama, senior point guard Darius Gatson led SHSU with 15 points
including a 9-for-10 performance from the free throw line. Will Bond added 13
points and Terrance Motley chipped in ten.
Gatson is currently leading the team in scoring but in the ten games played
this season the Kats have had seven different leading scorers. The highest
single game scoring performance of the year was Nathaniel Mason's 22 points
against Houston Baptist, which included 9-of-9 on free throws.
Wednesday is the start of a four-game home stand that features the first two conference matchups. The Kats will break for Christmas before hosting Howard Payne Dec . 29. Then after the new year, SHSU will open conference play with A&M-Corpus Christi and Northwestern State.
