Kats Remain No. 9 in March Media Poll

The top 8 teams in the national rankings all earned spots in the NCAA Championships Elite Eight to be held in Cleveland in Apri.
The FDU Knights earned 13 of the 15 first-place votes with their 101-25 record to keep the top spot they have held most of the 2011-2012s eason.
Arkansas State (80-23) moved up into second place with two first-place votes after a strong month in which the Red Wolves were in title contention every tournament. This marks the highest the Red Wolves have ranked in the NTCA Media Poll.
Nebraska (70-19) jumped up from eighth place in February to third after winning the Columbia 300 Music City Classic in Nashville while Vanderbilt (86-36) also earned more support this time around climbing from seventh into fourth respectfully.
Valparaiso (81-37), which had been first or second in prior polls, slipped into a tie with Central Missouri (78-37) for fifth place.
Maryland-Eastern Shore (101-32) held down the seventh spot in the new poll, two places down from its February placement, while Sacred Heart (71-34) dropped from third to eighth. Sam Houston State (79-35) maintained its grip on the No. 9 spot and Norfolk State's (89-40) after a strong conference effort pushed it into tenth
